This is the dental term for ‘teeth cleaning’.
Cost is based on how many scaling or root planing units of time it takes to complete treatment.
1 unit of time is 15 minutes.
This is a service to remove any stain off teeth.
It can also be used to remove soft plaque build-up
This is a 5% fluoride product that helps strengthen the enamel on your teeth.
Strengthened enamel is more resistant to dental decay (cavities) and cold sensitivity.
The effects can last up to 6 months
This laser therapy is done prior to scaling and is incorporated within the scaling cost. The laser destroys much of the bacteria within the space between the gums and the teeth creating an environment where it takes longer for gum disease to re-establish leaving you healthier for longer!
A desensitizing solution is placed on the tooth and the laser energy embeds the solution to the tooth creating a barrier against sensitivity that can last for up to 12 months.
This procedure can be part of your routine care appointment or it can be its own separate appointment.
This therapy helps reduce the pain associated with either of those sores.
For Cold Sores- if laser therapy is done at the initial “sensation” stage and prior to the sore forming than the cold sore may not form at all. If the treatment is done on already formed sores it can speed up the rate of healing.
